Lamenting Angel

Fantasy angel artwork can evoke a range of emotions, from joy and celebration to anger, despair, and longing. Each artist has a different style they bring to angel portrayals, just as each individual who views a particular piece may see something different within it, and within themselves.

Many fantasy angel pieces involve dark colors, such as rich purples and violets, and angels expressing emotions. A crying angel, for example, shows strong despair in a subtle, understated way.
