Star Trek Models
From LoveToKnow Sci-Fi
Star Trek models are popular with enthusiasts who have a favorite ship from the series. Most of the models are not meant to be played with or handled in such a manner that threatens the structure. You can find Star Trek models ranging from ships in the Starfleet to alien ships to smaller models of weapons or parts of the ships. Where can you buy these models?
Vintage Vs. Modern
Vintage models tend to be more detailed, but harder to find. Ebay or collectors is probably your only chance to snag one of these type of Star Trek models, especially if you are looking for models from the original series. The more modern models can typically be found at big box retailers like Toys R Us and Walmart and my cut back on the authenticity. With modern models, craftsmanship is weakened in order to bring the price down. Whichever you choose, vintage or modern, depends on your purpose and how you wish to display them.
