Star Trek Women

Nichelle Nichols was a trailblazer for all of the Star Trek women that followed in her footsteps. Actress Zoe Saldana portrayed Uhura in the 2009 reboot of the franchise, but it was Nichols' groundbreaking turn as Lt. Uhura throughout the 60s show to the cartoon of the 70s and later the feature films that would open doors for all the magnificent ladies that followed.
